Imagine you're in a rush and not being able to find something important; perhaps that lucky blazer or those perfect fitting pants. Did you feel the panic rising within? Here's another. Imagine stepping into the closet and suddenly feeling like you're suffocating from the items being EVERYWHERE! You know, kind of just thrown in there. (Whew! That's a horrible feeling!)

Unfortunately, that's how an unorganized closet (space) can make you feel. On the other hand, a neatly organized space can decrease anxiety and give you a sense of happiness and peace.

Storage and organization are a HUGE part of creating the perfect space---in this case, your closet. Being organized can save time, money, and it gives you an overall sense of cleanliness. {Right?! ;-)} Taking the time to declutter and organize your space (closet) will change your life--- in a REALLY good way.

As with any project, it's important to take a look and make a list of what you'll need. For a closet makeover, consider items such as shoe organizers, sturdy hangers, and cubby bins--just to name a few. You can find many neat items at your local home stores. Amazon also has many products. Check out some of those great finds here.

Now, it wouldn't be right to send you off to handle such a task without equipping you with handy tools to help you along the way! (I wouldn't dare.)

Well, in this case, tips = tools! So, below are a few tips to help you get started.

• Discard anything that hasn't been used or worn within the last 2 years. (I choose 2 years because it gives you at least 2 full rounds of season changes.)
• If you pick it up and have to ask either of the below questions, it's time to get rid of it.

        - What is this?

        - Will I use or wear this?

• Give everything its own place. This will make the process of choosing items easy as well as replacing them. And it'll surely keep you in line as the days go by.
• Lastly, have fun with it! :-)
